Dysc Beta Information

Dysc is currently pre-release software distributed through Apple's TestFlight. Participation is subject to the Website and Beta Terms, the Privacy Policy, and Apple's TestFlight terms.

Requirements

  • A supported iPhone and iOS version listed in the TestFlight invitation.
  • The TestFlight app and an Apple Account eligible to install the build.
  • Access to a compatible Jellyfin server containing a music library.
  • A valid account issued by that server's administrator.
  • Local-network access, remote server access, or both, depending on your setup.

What to test

  • Signing in to local, VPN-accessible, and HTTPS remote Jellyfin servers.
  • Loading and refreshing large music libraries.
  • Browsing Collection, artists, albums, and tracks.
  • Searching for artists, albums, and tracks.
  • Creating, editing, reordering, and deleting Mixtapes or playlists.
  • Selecting and uploading a custom playlist cover.
  • Radio stations, tuning, queues, and continuous playback.
  • Background playback, lock-screen controls, interruptions, and route changes.
  • Downloads, offline playback, storage reporting, cache clearing, and cellular settings.
  • Favourites, playback reporting, notifications, and accessibility.

Before testing

Keep a current backup of your server and playlists. Beta software may contain defects and some actions modify server-side data. Do not use a beta build as your only means of accessing important content.

For safer remote use, connect through HTTPS or a trusted VPN. Avoid exposing an HTTP Jellyfin server directly to the public internet.

Sending feedback

Use TestFlight's feedback feature or email jellydisc@proton.me. Include the app build, iOS version, device model, server version, expected result, actual result, and reproducible steps.

Remove personal information from screenshots and logs. Never send passwords, access tokens, private music files, or unrestricted server credentials.

Leaving the beta

You can stop testing or remove the beta build at any time through TestFlight. Before deleting Dysc, remove any local downloads you no longer want and confirm that any server-side playlist changes have completed. Removing the app does not delete your Jellyfin account or server-side data.
